I am a professionally trained chef and cooking instructor. From a very young age I loved baking, and when I turned 30, after a bout with cancer, I left my job working for a giant pharmaceutical company to enter culinary school. For almost 20 years now food has been an important element in my daily life – more than just sustenance. To me, food is about showing love - healing the body and nourishing the soul. I strongly believe that “we are what we eat” and it is imperative that we eat consciously and with an awareness of how the body responds to the fuel we give it. On the Nutrition page, you’ll find some of my beliefs about healthy eating.
